World Peace is a state of harmony, the absence of hostility. This term is applied to describe a cessation of violent international conflict; in this international context, peace is the opposite of war. World Peace can also describe a relationship between any parties characterized by respect, justice, and goodwill.
More generally, peace can pertain to an individual relative to her or his environment, as "peaceful" can describe calm, serenity, and silence. This latter understanding of peace can also pertain to an individual's sense of himself or herself, as to be "at peace" with oneself would indicate the same serenity, calm within oneself.
One meaning of peace refers to inner peace: a state of mind, body and perhaps soul, a peace within ourselves. People that experience inner peace say that the feeling is not dependent on time, people, place, or any external object or situation, asserting that an individual may experience inner peace even in the midst of war.
World Happiness and World Peace. What is the relationship between these two conditions? Can you have one without the other? What is more important making money or making peace?
We all are so different by race, religion, nationality, gender, height, weight, age, etc. but we all want World Peace. The key aspiration is the desire for World Peace and World Happiness and almost all of us share it. When You decide what is the best direction for Your life, in particular Your family, remember that happiness is more important than money! You may think that money is more important but You are most likely "trained" to think that money will bring You happiness. That is not so. The money may bring riches but that does not mean happiness. Learn to enjoy life before You obtain wealth. If you are unhappy before You become "rich" then money will not bring You happiness. Those who are lucky to seek peace are those most likely to find happiness!
How happy are You? How often do You smile? How many times a day do You laugh? How important is happiness to You? Do You blame others for Your unhappiness or do You take responsibility to make sure, do You find a way to happiness? The point is that it is up to You to take control of Your life and find what You need. Seek and You will find.
When You reflect back on Your life, are You happy with the way You've lived it? When You reflect forward on Your life, are You happy with the way You are going to live it? If not then You are going to need to change some things. You can't change the past but You can take control of Your future. Make sure to have peace as a main element in Your life. The search for peace and the search for happiness go hand in hand.
The only person that can make you happy is yourself. Others can help but like many solutions in life, the answer must come from within.
Greeting the morning with a smile increases the odds that the rest of the day will be merry. Going to bed grumpy decreases the likelihood that You will wake up the next morning with a smile. Smiling has a strange effect on our mood. A smile seems to force us to feel better. Smile is wonderful sign of Peace.
Understanding between two generations, parents and their kids is sign of Peace, too. Because Understanding is a wellspring of life. To get wisdom is better than gold, and understanding is more valuable than silver.
Of course, young generation is not so wise then older generation. But when parents tell children "No", have to tell them why. This helps them to understand parents reasoning and helps them to learn. It also changes parents’ position from a dictator to one closer to their level. With older children, have to make sure they also understand why, and what they can do to avoid a repeat punishment. A heart-felt explanation of disappointment can often make a bigger impression than a spanking. To find out what they treasure and threaten to take their "fun" away for a while is very important. Stick to parent’s threats or don't to make them at all. Older generation have to be consistent and they will learn to respect for it. Father and mother may want to be child’s friend but they also need a loving and guiding parent. Parent doesn’t have to treat their children the way their parents treated them, treat children better. Have to learn from their mistakes.
Teaching children about the stages of life and the ways you dealt with those same stages as a kid. Teaching them that peace is achievable and that they must find it in themselves first. This will only happen if parents take the time to teach them.
Parents want ideas about keeping peace in the family, and ask how to teach peace and other important family values to their children. The truth is, everyone knows the important things we need to do each day that teach values. We just need to do them. Keeping and teaching peace in the family, and communicating values is something that you do every day.
To have a peaceful family, the family has to believe in peace. To communicate and reinforce the values that parents and adults at home think are important, it is critical to have a peaceful family with relationships that are respected.
Values are not taught to children by talking about them. Children learn about values through relationships, observation, and demonstration. Children learn to be nice by having someone be nice to them. They learn to be peaceful and non-violent by having other people demonstrate what it is to be peaceful. The home is the most important place for a child. Inside home that the most important values are taught.
Knowing of the family values helps to make harmony and peace among all family members. An essential part of family life is to reflect on what is valued in the family.
Children are not confused when they understand and know what is most important, respect what is most important, and feel respected.
Continually share important things with children. Use words to describe the significant things to the family: religion, beauty, cultural ideas, behavior, and attitudes. Share your family heritage with spoken words and writing. This helps carry ideas to another generation.
Families can create Peaceful World thanks to:
- keeping communications open;
- letting each person state his or her opinions openly;
- teaching kindness by being kind;
- respecting relationships. This means respecting children as people. Children learn respect by demonstrations and observations.
Peace needs to be taught in our schools and in our homes. If we learn from our mistakes then we can focus on worldwide peace efforts, which will diminish the need for war. Our children are the future. Teach them right and the future will be all right!
Values are important because without positive moral values, others may resent your actions and may not radiate positive energy in your direction. Remember that when you try to point to something that makes you happy there are three or more fingers pointing back at you. We all need a minimum level of material possessions but without the personal wealth that comes from within, external wealth is nearly meaningless.
We need songs about World Peace. Listening to music is a right-brain activity and we need both the left and right sides of our brain to be thinking about peace in order to integrate it into our soul. Music artists can improve our lives through the energy they put into their music.
We need films about World Peace. We need films that reward strong moral values and have messages that show us ways of achieving peace and success in life.
How can we achieve Peace on Earth?
One nation's problems are problems for all of us. We must learn to see ourselves as one small planet and not be so concerned with our nationality, race or religion. When it comes right down to it we are all human. Think what we could accomplish if we all worked together to create a true world economy. We could end starvation, reduce poverty, create jobs and work towards common goals such as worldwide justice, peace education, and pollution control and planet management.
Peace is a valuable feeling. I think that Peace is when everything is all right. Peace is feeling like every one is not alone. Peace means to care about others. Making everything for Peaceful World means smiling instead of crying. Possibly it means being happy with all the great things we have instead of wanting things we do not have.
Keep smiling!
Have a nice and Peaceful day!
